Canterbury's Tesco Metro has declared a price war on its main competitors Asda and Sainsbury's by embracing the £500m price cuts made by the company.
The launch, which took place last week, has seen prices slashed by up to 30% on best selling products.
However, its supermarkets competitors aren't alone in feeling the threat.
Local businesses in the high street have been suffering due to the popularity of supermarkets for decades.
